The Academy of Finance in d outskirt of Hanoi was d venue for meeting in d morning n it was quite interesting with translation (English - Vietnamese n vice versa) being provided during d discussion. D Academy, which actually is a university, is managed by d Ministry of Finance n we learned a lot about d operation of d Vietnamese gov't.
We also had lunch (courtesy of d Academy) at a restaurant specialising with Viet's traditional dishes...which of course we couldn't sample much...hihi. N...d officers from d Academy...they really like to drink...asik melaga-lagakan their glasses je....
From one of d academy lecturers, Vice Dean Truong, we also learned about typical houses in Hanoi. Many of d houses in Hanoi are 4-story high but kurus semacam...probably d width is about 14/15 feet only. I was told that usually these houses are occupied by one family with bedroom on each floor. It is called 'semi-detached', eventho two other houses are attached to both sides of its wall. By d way, Truong also offered to take us to a silk producing village tomorrow afternoon...apa lagi...tegak telinga my Sayang n Azina...hihi
After lunch, we continue with ronda-ing Hanoi n managed to catch d water puppet show as well...something which is unique to Viet Nam. And as usual...d ladies continue with their nyopping...biasa laaa....
