...Indonesia...Day 4...Bandung/Puncak

our lunch place
after having this u can cilok baik punye
saw few Giants as well
We ceq out of Karang Setra at d start of d day as we would be heading to Puncak for a nite. But b4 that, we paid a visit to Univ Islam Bandung (Unisba) and we were quite suprised as d Rector himself received us.

And since today is d last day for us in Bandung, d intensity of visiting d various fashion outlets n 'rumah mode' went up a notch higher...hihi.

d view from Karang Setra's breakfast area...this is at d rear of d hotel.

ceq-ing out...bye2 Karang Setra

here we r...@ d entrance of Unisba. But it turned out that their officials were waiting for us @ their Postgrad buillding, which is at another site

Students of Unisba...can u count how many yg pakai loose pants/jeans...hhmm

n here too...definitely looking very very different from IIUM students

d kueh-kueh comel...as refreshment in between d discussion

group foto...from both d IIUM n Unisba

there seems to be quite a number of people in uniform in Indonesia...this is one of Unisba's security team

then...with Unisba behind us...d group engaged d 'nyopping mode'. This dude is one of the 'volunteer' traffic officers manning d various busy intersections near d commercial areas. Eventho a volunteer...any 'contributions' by d motorists r most welcomed.

now...these r some images of d various outlets in Bandung. The above is Episode...

...my Sayang making a 'contribution' to d cashier

U can see Raffles City here...n a new extension under construction next to it

...Donnatello...many in our group managed to secure various shoes here

these hawkers r located near d shops...looked like it is quite coordinated...same colors, etc.

...d ladies in our group commented that d women of Bandung tend to tuck their scarfs in...just like this gal

this is d view of houses under Pasupati bridge...I found out that this bridge is quite scandalous when planned n constructed...n I got d following info about it (pardon d English...)

"Suspected for corruption by the local government while building this bridge, a lot of houses has to demolish and relocating it's local inhabitants into rural areas in Bandung. There are a lot of threes that also has to cut down, since the bridge also intervene the green line areas in Bandung, especially threes at Pasteur street and Cikapayang Area. Most of city inhabitant in Bandung complaints, especially for causing environmental damage and reducing green areas in Bandung, but the development of Pasupati Bridge still continued (http://commonroom.info/bcfnma/futuresonic2006/image/2006/07/pasupati-bridge.html)."

For lunch we went back to Dapur Sang Kuriang...where we had dinner d nite b4. This is d view of d garden during d day.

Then we began to move out of Bandung n heading to Puncak. This is still in Bandung...heavy traffic n plenty of stalls lining d street

this machet was converging towards d toll plaza @ d edge of d city

However, b4 exiting Bandung, d group stopped by to have a look @ this kek lapis/kek betawi trader. But tak da sapa buy anything as d expire date is quite near

Would you like to get your teeth fix here...

immediately after d toll plaza, this Accord swiped our bus...n blamed d bus driver for d accident.

While waiting for d nego between d Accord driver n our bus crew...saw this...don't u want to be manja?

Much later, we were in Puncak...n stopped for dinner here b4 ceq-ing in into Hotel Prameswari.
