For today we decided just to get on a tour bus to get around Roma. Among others we managed to visit Colosseo or more known as Colosseum...with some gladiators hanging around, d Tomb of Unknown Soldiers, d Vatican, n a few shopping streets near Piazza del Popolo. N BTW, halal food is not a problem as there r a number of food outlets operated by our Bangladeshi brothers...so...nasi n kebab r available aplenty. FYI, I looked up for these halal outlets @ d website of zabihah.com...try it out....
...d Colosseo...it was really huge for a structure during its time
foto op next to Colosseo
souvenir shops can be found in every corner of Roma...d same can said about d tourists as well...it really is a touristy city
only here can you see more Maseratis competing for attention along with Bimmer n Merc...
...next to Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II which housed d Tomb of Unknown Soldiers
...of course that 'Prancing Horse' insignia is familiar...d Ferrari's horse signature was taken from this...
on d way to d Vatican...crossing Fiume Tevere (Tiber River)...with Castel Sant' Angelo in d background
...n d Vatican even has its own post office...n lots of tourists sent postcards from here
d Papal Swiss Guard in their traditional uniform...they r d one deals with d security of d place
fake goods can be found here too...so not only in Petaling Street or pasar malam back home. This is just outside d Vatican
n onwards we go...stop jap @ Piazza del Popolo...shopping area
neat haaa....bikes for rent...but we didn't try it out...
then back to our base near d Termini...for solat n lunch.

dining al fresco is d order of d day of course
...interesting to see that some of the construction sites covered their site with a nicely done cover full of graphics...unlike d usual green netting back home. Sometimes u assume that it is an actual building if seen from afar.
