We took d opportunity today to travel north...to Venezia (Venice), d floating city that we have seen on numerous occasions on various screens. D journey by EuroStar was for slightly more than 2.5 hours n it was jam-packed. Arriving there it was quite a fantastic sight...a city that is surrounded by water...literally. As there is no bus (d land type laa)...n d water taxi was quite steep in price, we just walked all d way while in Venezia.
U'll easily get lost in d maze of buildings...like we did...so, a map is a must as we could not find any 'official' signage for directions to all d interesting places there. But d hikmah is that we got to see d non-touristy side of d city...how its residents go about with their lives. Amazing gak to observe this car-less city...truly pedestrian-oriented...in addition to d waterways laa of course. It d end, it was quite tiring to walk all around Venezia...but an unforgettable experience nonetheless...
