...World Town Planning Day 2008-Putrajaya this time. Meanwhile..
click on foto if u want to know some of d issues..
this guy is preparing for d weekend
We attended a round table discussion today in conjunction with d World Town Planning Day @ Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) in d city's Precint 5. This year's theme is 'Harmonious City' n most of d speakers stressed on tackling d family unit as an approach. It was quite an 'interesting' discussion...siap sampai ada presenter yg menyanyi...hihi. We returned to PICC for dinner later after a fast dash home n we even managed to singgah at d Putrajaya Water Sports Complex to look over its preparation for this weekend's Waterski World Cup event.
D view of Persiaran Perdana from PICC...with d JPM at d other end of d boulevard. It was quite gloomy...so no blue sky for d foto today. D grand boulevards treatment for d city must have been greatly influenced by similar style of Paris n Washington DC...but more for show rather than to cater to d actual traffic needs I guess
here we r...inside an extremely cold meeting room no.1 of PICC. Even d coffee on offer was not hot n making d creamer that we added to simply floating around...hhmm
on d way back home n we pulled aside to d Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside kejap. It is d latest hotel here n will be hosting this weekend'd event
d penonton section of Putrajaya Water Sports Complex...lets just hope that d facility is extensively utilised...so not just another gajah putih
d nautical theme of d centre is reflected in this 'Control Tower' too...n of course it reminds u to that 7-stars hotel in Dubai... Being in my office attire (but tieless n coatless), some of d people there thought that I'm one of d officials for d place. While at d top of d tower, one Mat Salleh was asking me if I have d key to d 'Official Timing Room'...hihi
later for dinner, called Malam Simfoni Alam, we were entertained by a 'penyanyi berbakat besar [as announced by d MC]'...Adibah Nor
on d way home n took this...PICC looks not dissimilar to a flying saucer wanting to swoop up d escaping car...
n a foto op on one of d many 'grand bridges' of Putrajaya...
...n meanwhile, on d other side of d pond, yesterday's USA presidential election has produced a unique winner...
lets just hope that with his different upbringing...he can bring some changes...
