Proton CT...proabably <10% of d shops were operational...ksian
Our journey took us to Felda Sg. Behrang today to attend a wedding...a trip of slightly more than 100km north from Shah Alam. After a breakfast stop @ Bg Azmi/Bg Gee's place, we moved out in 3 cars. D upacara nikah is quite swift...with Epol, my Sayang's cousin's eldest son made it after just d 1st lafaz...wahh...congrats. Returning back, we took d scenic route b4 rejoining d hiway @ Rawang. We just savoured d scenes that include Proton City, Tg Malim, Kuala Kubu Baru [KKB] n d many other small towns dotted along d old road.
This is d 1st time that I witnessed an akad nikah with a shadow play thrown in as a selingan. Actually d kids were being creative n seizing d opportunity after realizing d reflection of d sunlight from a parked car provided them with a nice play screen...n they r bored no more. BTW...don't u think that looks like Scooby...great job kids!!
Alhamdullillah...Epol did it on his 1st lafaz...n d look on d face of d bride says it all...
my Sayang n company enjoying d latest gossip while d event went on
after lunch @ d kenduri...we made a move n d 1st stop was this Proton factory near Tg Malim. D building on d right is d head office...but there's nothing heady about it. It was totally devoid of any furniture what so ever...u can't missed it as all of its walls r made from clear glass. Another story of wastage perhaps...or may be it can be justified by saying that it gonna be used in d future n to build it earlier can save cost...hhmmm n more hhmm
d new town of Proton City...but did not really take off as planned...lots n lots of unoccupied houses and commercial units...eventho all these n d facilities were well-designed n constructed
Using d trunk road to go south, we encountered this signage. We used to drive here when going balik kampung during d prePLUS days...n this signage was 1st used in d 70s for a PATA event...[n yes...I can still remember wayyy back then...hihi]
We deviated from d trunk road n into KKB...it is a nice little town situated at d foot of Banjaran Titiwangsa...n as a gateway to Fraser Hill. Looks like d town is quite lively n well-kept...n d many water bodies around there were quite interesting as well
