...hujan o hujan...mengapa engkau...[u know d drill...]

...hujannn yg turun [2 b sung Sudirman's style]

I was walking along d Kaed's corridor d other day n observed that many umbrellas were parked outside of d various seminar rooms n lecture theaters. D IIUM main campus was planned with d provision of a covered pathway all d way from d marhallah to d central academic core. But of course u need to know where this facility is located in order to use it. N it is not a very wide network unlike our numerous n infamous toll hiways especially within d Klang Valley. Anyway, these umbrella reminded me that nowadays rain tends to fall in spurt of short durations but with higher intensity if compared to d past.

Still on d issue of hujan...driving home yesterday was done at a crawl due to d extremely heavy rain. D angle of attack of d rain drops was almost horizontal, probably about 10°...so just imagine how strong d wind was blowing. N...found out later that d amount of rainfall yesterday equaled 2 months of rain in just two hours...fuuhh.

this is just a compilation of our infamous KL flooding that happened then n again. Those with pink dot took place yesterday...lots of properties were damaged n to repair d rides or clean d premises is another story altogether. Various responses from d many victims can be observed in d mass media including these:

“They always say that something will be done to mitigate the [flood] problem."

"The water level rose rapidly and we did not have time to move our products to higher ground." [this is a Toyota showroom n products here refer to brand new cars]

“We had so many KL mayors who had promised to solve the flood problem but, so far, there has not been any concrete results.”

“I thought the Smart Tunnel was built to curb flooding but I have not seen any change at all.”

The blistering comments made by these flood victims were very likely due to their frustration of being vulnerable n frequently exposed to d many urban hazards. N with d numerous promises offered by d many politicians, gov't officials or agencies, these victims shouldn't be blamed for venting their feelings. BTW, looking at d above compilation of fotos, I like d top left foto d best as it really looked like a natural water body...ala Venice [but gondola-less laa]...

...n speaking of Venice, I came across d above from somewhere online. This is probably one of d sarcastic responses to d problems that have been plaguing KL for d umpteenth times. D wrong spelling used was probably intentionally done.
